View Full Version : Rail rail on a Biesemeyer fence

I recently bought a lumber rack from a house and buried in the lower part of the rack was a new 50" front rail set for a PM 66.

My older General has a 30" Paralock. I like the Paralock, but eventually the nylon washers and all will wear out, so I guess I've got a replacement.

Does the rear rail on a Biesemeyer do anything but support the outfeed table? Biesemeyer has some closeout 42" fences, so it would seem that with one of those and a length of either angle iron or tube stock for a rear rail, I'm in business.

Anything wrong with what I'm thinking (the fence should fit). I know, either I repaint or I'll have a green saw, gold rail, and a white fence. Once it's covered in sawdust, it might be less noticeable.

Thanks,
Rich

Rich, the rear angle on my Unisaw has no other purpose than supporting the crosscut table. If you have both the front tube and the supporting angle iron, I don’t see why you couldn’t adapt it to your TS.

nope it only supports the table....any angle iron will do the trick.
