Got the last gallon of denatured alcohol at menards this morning. Last time I bought it they had 15 or 20 gallons and many quarts. I assume folks are not using it to mix shellac, which is what I needed it for. According to google, it can safely be used to disinfect surfaces, but of course should not be used as a hand sanitizer or to disinfect cooking utensils or equipment. I hope if anyone is using it for a disinfectant they are aware of its toxicity and use it appropriately.
