I started turning pens in October, and at first I gave a few out as gifts then people at my work were asking if I sold them. before I knew it I was making just pens & letter openers in my shop. I've sold about $1,100 in the past two months. Here is where the GLOAT comes in...I showed one of my slimline pens to the Gift Buyer at my work and he asked me if I could make some up with a cross on the clip. I told him I would make him one if he would like , but he said he was thinking of buying 25 of them and put them on our website to sell. He told me if they do well he will order more.

Congrats there Ron! I am like Bernie, I hope to make just enough to keep me funded for more supplies! Anything more than that will be frosting on the cake!

Thanks Guys...It's really a great feeling when someone values your work enough to buy it.

That is great! I like to hear about people making money with their turning rather than all of it going out of our pockets. It is nice to know they think enough of your work to spend money on it.
