Happen to have this old allen wrench...plastic handle had broken long ago,,,,That 3/8" cutter was too long, as well...might do a bit of metal working, tonight..
427460
marked where I needed to cut....3/8" was easy enough to do.....the other? took a lot of grind, dunk, grind, dunk, check the fit, grind some more...until

A rough shape appeared...including a notch by a Dremel....Then try to sharpen it up..
427462
Took a while to gets things well enough along, that a test drive was done....knife 2 lines, backsaw them a bit deeper...
427463
Seems to work. Decided to add a storage spot for the 1/2" cutter...
427464
And hope the lid closes..

Fun it the shop...Plane now has a 1/2", 3/8", and the new 1/4" cutter. So far, that seems to be all I am using, anyway..:D
