Ok...well...I built a Pool Cue Rack as a Christmas gift for a neighbor....But the spindles were the fun part! It's Mahogany finished with that Antique Oil Finish stuff. This project gave me fits....not because it was difficult or anything....just seemed like the stars weren't aligned or something. The spindles were very fun and I got a lot of skew work in there, which is really paying off. Didnt have to sand much....just nooks and crannies.

Oh that mahogany smelled good!!!:)

Cool! Like the spindly part, mostly because it appears to be nonstructural and therefore an artful detail.

Is it safe to assume that the cues are next?

Santa would be proud to have you up at the pole. Quite the project, I know your neighbor is going to love that. I have a neighbor, well up in town some, that makes pool ques?? sticks -- very expensive.

Nice work John, I like it.

$2 on the 5, $5 on the 9, or do you wanna just shoot 8 for $20 a game?

That's a nice looking cue rack John. Well done. Your neighbor is going to have a nice conversation piece everytime someone plays pool at his table.

Merry Christmas!

Job well done! I know it has been giving you fits, but sure looks worth it. Turned out really nice and I think they should be very happy with that...... I sure would.

thanks for all the comments y'all....and Nope..ain't gonna make any sticks. At least, not till I get better at other stuff first! Mike Glaze has been hinting at making cues the past couple days though....Can't wait to see those.

Now I better get some Christmas shopping done before I end up looking like the grinch!:o

Beautiful work John. That sucker is NICE!! I'm beginning to think that you really dont sleep. I thought you were joking when you said that to me one time. You seem to have an astounding amount of time to make stuff. hahaha. Or you are very fast. Anyway, nice job on that cue rack. You have rings on your bottoms? hahaha

looks like you have skills in many wood working situations !Great job on the spindle work! ON the next one see if you can bend those outside pieces so you have a solid piece all the way around LOL...
