Hi all,

Im getting involved with multiple Universities.

Customers only have a "paper" copy of their Degree and I need to engrave the University "Crest" and "Seals".
I need to find someone who can convert to an .eps or .cdr file from a PDF or Jpeg. Happy to pay for their services or learn how to do it myself.
Attached is two files ( same degree) which is about as complex as it gets. Sorry PDF was to big for forum...can email if needed.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Kind regards
Ian Wilson

Ian,

Have you looked in "BRANDS OF THE WORLD"?
You will find many of major universities crests in vector format on their site ready for download.

In the future, there are literally hundreds of companies that will fix a crappy logo for $5-30. Just type "Vector logo conversion" on google.

My BIL just this morning downloaded the newest (trial) version of Corel, "20" is it? Anyway-- he found some complicated looking drawing of a tulip or some flower, and the Trace program did a stunningly amazing job with the conversion. It's almost as if someone at Corel did a V8 head-smack and said "Hey! Instead of having Trace round off sharp corners and sharpening up round corners, and inventing bumps and corners and curves that aren't actually there in the first place, why don't we make our Trace program make sharp corners sharp and round corners round, and actually just trace the actual edges?"
... seriously!

I haven't played with it yet, but I will, as he paid for the full version. If I like the Trace program enough that I feel I can quit using Casmate, that will be saying something...
