Hi all,
I can’t seem to find a clear answer on the cutting capacity of this saw. Specs say it will cut 12” x 3 15/32” at 90 degrees. I would like a saw that can cut 4x4s in one pass. Seeing that 15/32” is less than 1/2” and a standard 4 by 4 is really 3 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches does that mean the Kapex won’t cut through a 4 x 4? The answer would seem to be yes, but since it is a slider and it can cut 3 15/16” by 12” maybe that means it can do a cut of 3 1/2 by 3 1/2. Seems like it depends on the way it slides and how much of the radius of the blade can move through the lumber. I have seen conflicting posts on this.
