Hey Guys,
I bought this old Acme sander a few months back and thought I might restore it this winter. It has been fitted with a fixed table but if I understand correctly it originally could be lowered/raised and tilted, actually both tables, as it has the profile sanding platen also. The tilting dodads are missing and not sure about what might be gone on the raise/lower mechanism. Everything else seems really tight and in great shape. I have a print out of the original manual but the details are not the clearest, so I was wondering if anyone might have some detail pictures or other info on exactly how the original mechanisms that I mentioned mounted and worked?
Thanks for reading this and any info you might contribute to the mission.

Most Respectfully,
Steve

You could look for information in the vintagemachinery.org site; the sander was manufactured by RA Ness & Co. There are pictures of several and a manual under that manufacturer.
