Band Sawing Cold Wood

I have some logs that have been sitting out side drying for the past couple years. With the purchase of a new Rikon 18" BS, I would like to try some resawing on some of the logs. They have been out in the snow / < 10 degree weather for the past couple weeks.

Do the logs need to be brought to room temp before sawing them?

i doubt the temp. matters but water on your saw isn`t a good idea....02 tod
