I just picked up my planer. Winfry Electric a local rebuilder worked on it for me
Took the motor out rebuilt it and reinstalled it
They did a bit of rewiring in the capacitor box, the contactor and the on/off switch.
They dissembled, new bearings were installed and an internal switch or switches replaced. They even repainted it. For $375. I think it is a fair price.
Should last a long time!
