I need a new 14” bandsaw for cutting bowl blanks and a i was looking for one with a larger depth of cut in the $1k range.
I’ve narrowed it down to the Rikon 10-324TG for about $975+ tax with free shipping or the Jet 14” Deluxe for $989 + tax from Rockler with the 10% off sale they’re advertising ( if they don’t jack the price up during the sale period) from 1/17-1/30.
The Rikon has a 1.5 hp motor with a 13” cutting height and the Jet has a 1.25hp motor and a 12” cutting height.
Thoughts on either?

That's basically the same saw I got, the 10-324. However, mine does not have the tool-less bearing guide adjuster as your option, the 10-324TG. Overall, it was a good choice for me. Thus far tech support has turned out to be a pleasure to deal with. As far as Jet goes, I know very little about them but will say I have heard only good things. Good luck.

Jack, if you do not mind me asking, how do you like that tool less adjustment? The reviews look pretty good. Do you think its worth the price?...around 100 - 150 I think. Thank you Sir

The tool-less adjustment works great, couldn't be easier. It's so simple to get the rollers right on the money when adjusting and get them out of the way when putting of a new band.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the Rikon. The Laguna would have been in the mix if the customer service were better
