Hi Guys,
I have a makita 2040 planer that busted one of the feed rollers. Poor maintenance by myself I guess. I got a feed roller, new bearings, and new ball bearings for the cutting head.
My question is removing the head itself to replace the ball bearings. I got the Aluminum nut off that is left hand threaded. I am assuming that the shaft knocks out toward the gear/sprocket side? Also that the shaft will pull through the cutter head body so it pull out?
Sorry for no pics but here is a link to a pic

Thanks in advance
