Water based Poly question

Put on only one coat of a General Finishes water based poly on the panel of a raised panel door about 3-4 weeks ago. Family issue prevented me getting additional coats. At this point what should I be doing to surface of one coat to allow additional coats to adhere properly

Light sanding with 320 will do the trick. If the grain raised from the first coat you may need a more aggressive grit, like 220.
