I'm restoring a Vienna Secession hutch veneered in figured Italian walnut. I need a variety of very small (<1 square inch) veneer pieces to get the best match I can for the missing bits. Don't mind buying a number of sheets, but is there anywhere to get a batch of offcuts and swatches? I'd love to get maybe 10-20 sq ft.3 with plenty of variety. Looks like original veneer thickness is ~1 mm. Thanks in advance.

I’d check with Certainly Woods

I’d send an email to Joe at joewoodworker dot com. He stocks Italian Walnut veneer and may have some off cuts. Worth checking.

A second recommendation for Certainly Wood -- they have one of the largest collections of veneer. B&B Rare Woods (dyed-veneer.com) has quite a collection of small pieces as they service marquetarians. You might also try Constantines.
