Powermatic Oscillating edge sander

Anyone have any experience with a Powermatic edge sander like #1791282? Good, bad? I might be able to pick it up for a reasonable price used

No, but new (to you) tool at a good price, go for it. Edge sanders are awesome, wish I had one, using my 6x48 with a fence just isn't the same.

Check that the platen and table are flat with no twist and go for it. Edge sanders are a machine that gets used on every project. Dave
