Second bowl I attempted since my resurgence into woodworking after a long hiatus. It was VERY dry and hard as a rock. Kind of messed up the bottom, so I had to reverse it (I was having trouble with that part) I used a chuck and a rag to reverse it and finish the bottom. I love the grain but am still experimenting on tool use and getting a line free finish using shine juice (1/3 each of shellac,blo,denatured alcohol). I think I may try waterlox next time.
