Grand Re-Opening!

Back in business for 2007!

Well, at least some of you are, but that's okay.

Here's my Christmas present to all of you.

Now, get yourself properly attired!

If you know how to edit and mess with photos, just copy this and have fun.

27750

If you're as clueless as you think you are and need help, just post a message here with an appropriate request in iambic penameter and then hang on. Of course, it helps if we know what you look like. Once our online milliners in China (Maine, that is) have sewn your new hat you'll get a message to revisit this page. Then, just do this:
Go towards the end of this thread to find your new photo and right click on it to save to your computer in a known location.
Go to your SMC User CP and click Edit Avatar.
In the lower right section click on browse and surf to the file you just saved.
Click on Open.
Click on Save Changes.
Ta Da!

We need to get Mr. Becker down here and see what you can do about the icing on his cake.

I'm working on turning as fast as I can. Can't run the lathe on the floor ya know and my bench is flat work and you know how slow that goes. Should have it completed shortly after the holiday then I'll need a few hours to complete the learning curve before I can show you up  :p

I can't wait to see what you have in store for New Years

John

Andy Hoyt
12-19-2005, 9:33 AM
...... Not true, the reason I check in to the Turners Forum often is that these folks are committed to wild and crazy most of the time.....

Oh Yeah? Take this!:D

Karl Laustrup
12-19-2005, 9:36 AM

Karl

Andy Hoyt
12-19-2005, 9:42 AM

Sorry Tod. Both you and Roscoe fall into the itty bitty portion of our online millinery operation and there's a $500 fee for micro surgery of this nature. Unless you want to cough/wheez/splutter/ and hack up those kind of bucks, I'm afraid you'll have to settle for this.

Its, not the background that I am concerned about, it's the fuzzy foreground. You guys seem to be able to make sharper pictures, but when I step a clear picture down to 50x50 it gets really fuzzy.

Nah. It's just that the Christmas Chapeaux industry is highly competitive and the business season is far too short. And as such, one has to maintain an edge over the competition at all times. Thusly, I'm showcasing the model we'll be introuducing to the Carribbean market next year.

Yeah, I know. Sent him a registered PM, but have not seen a response. I'm not sure what the problem is. Is it because he's a mod? From Arkansas? Both? His sore back? All three? I dunno. But if he doesn't pick it up soon, I'll have to eliminate his SMC discount and charge him full retail, plus holding fees, millinerizing fees, and so forth. Bizness is bizness.:D

Peter, not Andy here, but I know where you need to do this. Go to your "UserCP". That's near the top of the page, on the left. Open that and go to "edit avatar". You'll need to browse out to the place on your computer where you have your photo ready and click "open". Then, just hit "save changes" and you're in. :) Remember to keep the size at 50x50 pixels and file size no larger than 19.5kb.:)

Hey, you guys look so cool... now I have to go out and shop for shoes that match my hat..

Gail - Our special order department (Gladys McGuillicuddy and Ethel Scalopini - with two hundred forty seven years combined service between them) up on the fifth floor remembered that back in 1898 we had a cancelled order from Novosibirsk, Russia. Thusly, these guys have been in storage ever since.

If you want 'em they're yours at no charge because you'll then be a repeat customer. One or two day shipping will be kinda pricey. But if you can wait until Sunday morning, I believe I can arrange for our overnight courier to drop them off; as he mentioned at a recent staff meeting that he was scheduled to be in your neighborhood at that time anyway! Enjoy.

Peter - There are a number of threads in the Support Forum on the procedures. But before you head over there be sure to put on your new hat. Instructions are at the top of page 1.

Seasonal Saluatations to you!

Thanks John. I am eating a Lemon Pie right now. I saved the thread and the link and will tinker with it later.:) You can't imagine how long it took me to get that avatar photo shrunk down to 55x55 and posted. But its worth the learning curve to be able to share (show off) some of my work.

After concluding some most intensive labor negotiations with our milliners (who actually expected to be paid for thier efforts, of all things) I am happy to announce that we're back in business for 2006.

We have a few new styles in stock this year and a new digital fabric that came through the beta testing phase with high praise.

Come and get it! :D
