I made one earlier this year, my daughter liked it and I made another. Only changes were cherry veneered drawers with cockbeading.

So beautiful. The drawer grain is extraordinary. Got to say, everytime I see painted folk art as wild, I think "they really
over did it. No wood has grain that strong". I was wrong.

Beautiful work. Truly something to be proud of.
I too love the grain on the drawers.

Is this a commission or something that will become an heirloom in your own family?

Mel, Patrick, Fred, thanks for the comments. Fred, this is for my 19 year old daughter.

Thanks Christian! About 5 or 6 coats of Zinnser shellac, thinned to a 1 to 1.5 pound cut.

Beautiful work. Where did you get the brass handles? They're very nice.

Mike. Thanks Mike. I got all the hardware from Ball & Ball reproductions in Pennsylvania.

Which makes me appreciate that I moved here to SE PA back in 1979. LOL (I did see that snow prediction on the news this morning)
