Hi Kevin,

My wife and I spent 3-4 days last Feb in Lafayette and surroundings. We loved the area. Stayed in a B&B in Beau Bridge. Went to the Mardi Gras in Church Point and Mamou. Went to a dance hall in Beau Bridge with some people we met. Had a great time. Everyone we met was so friendly.

Did the area suffer much Katrina damage? I can only imagine the flooding in all those low areas along the rivers. Hope it was not too bad.
