View Full Version : Strapped/glued lumber as an axe stump?

If you would take enough of 2x4's or 4x4's etc

and cut them to length (this would be the heigth) and then glue/band them together
make some feet for them and turn it on end, couldn't this work for an axe stump?

For use I think it will create a mess, of soft wood slivers. I use my stump as solid support for splitting firewood, prior felling that tree I used a 14-inch slice from a ~20 inch dia oak rolled close to my woodpile.
