This caught my eye. I have never done any turning, but the idea of doing pens has always appealed to me. Don't have any plans of buying a bigger machine any time in the future.
Did a search on Amazon, and they no longer offer this model.

Anyone have any opinions?

Seems like a pretty good deal if all you want to do is make pens....

Looks great! Hell I am thinking of buying it just to dedicate to pens! :)

Gentlemen, you may want to hang on to your collective wallets on this one! Our very own esteemed Ken Salisbury had/has one and did a test run of it. Mind you, Ken has some nice equipment, as well but, he is a very skilled turner and has done literally thousands of small turnings, such as pens, bottle stoppers, the little pill holders, etc... At any rate, he's quite qualified to judge such equipment and he gave this particular unit a hearty "thumbs down"!!!:( Others, of course, may have different opinions but, I for one, trust what Ken has to say about such things...:D :)

Thanks John, I would guess that is why it isn't being produced anymore as Jet doesn't list it on their website. Thanks for the heads up.

No prob, Corey.:) BUT, after having made those statements regarding the particular lathe, do not misconstrue it to mean anything against the site Mark refers to!!! GREAT people to do business with and their sales are usually noteworthy!:)
