Well, I hapened to find a website that has a MAJOR!!!!!! woodworking machinery auction taking place right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D Included amoung(SP?) the MANY!!! items is an old Oliver wood lathe. Model 159-A. It has a 1/2 hp motor, 3-Phase. Any idea as to how old it is and what is it worth? Serial Number is 74779

Any idea as to how old it is and what is it worth? Serial Number is 74779The serial number dates it to 1950. I paid $300 for a slightly newer (but in similar condition) 159A.

I wonder if the tax if figured on your bid or your bid + the 10% buyer's premium. I'll just figure it at 20% to keep the math simple. That could be a real unpleasant suprise if you get into a biding war with out reading the details.
