I just got my Jet JML-1014 for TimberlineTools and I tried flipping the swith on, but it won't stay. It does have the little yellow lock in it. I leave it in the switch and then try to flip it up, but it barely stays up and the lightest tap will set it back down. I can't seem to start it. Has anybody else had this problem? Do I need to return it? I thought I bought it brand new. http://www.forums.woodnet.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowsad.gif

Thanks

I would give Jet a call and see if they will send a new switch. Pronto.

I would say if it isn't to far to take it back I would do so. If not call jet I'm sure they'll replace the switch.

I guess I am in luck!! I took apart the switch and reconnected everything. There is a plastic "damper" on the switch movement that looked like it was doubled up and preventing the switch from staying up properly. Once that was reseated, the switch would stay up and when I connected the wires, the lathe fired right up. Thanks for the timely responses!!

Thanks
