I purchased a near-unused Makita 3901 biscuit jointer to reinforce mitres.

Those you have used this machine understand that the fence adjusts with a wheel on the right, and then is locked with the lever of the left.
It turns out that, using the fence, the result is 0.2mm out on one side of the cut (for a #20 biscuit). This places the match at 0.4mm out-of-straight. This result id regardless of the fence height, and remains consistent. I assume that the fence is skewing when the clamp is tightened.
Does anyone have a fix?
