Here is a little something that I recently finished. It is made from a piece of Corrugata burl also called Rib Fruited Mallee. It measures 14" x 12" x 3". Finish is waterlox then buffed with the beall.

Thanks for looking!Criticism is always welcome.

Nice piece Loy!
I love NE turnings, and this piece is wonderful, nice job on the beads and the finish looks great.

That's a dandy, for sure! Nice piece of wood. Like Jim, I also enjoy the NEs. The finish looks slick!

Thanks for the picture!

Loy,

That type of work is my most favorite thing that I have seen come off the lathe. I truly believe it was this type of design that has drawn me toward turning at this time.

You have done a wonderful job on that piece and the finish is awesome. I hope with some serious practice that I can make one half that nice somewhere down the road.

Thanks so much for sharing with us.

Great job, Loy. I'd offer more but I've got the miseries from too much cake.

Is that anything like doing the aztec two step? Great piece Loy. I might try something like that in a year or two. Sticking my hands anywhere around a propeller right now ain't happenin.

That is a great piece Loy. Everything is right, the form, the finish, the beads, excellent.

I did have one question though, is it real or is it a famous Loy computer generated concoction ???:D

Wonderful piece Loy! I bet it was a little dicey doing those beads.
