Walnut Cherry Lidded Hollow Bowl

Woke up this morning with this idea in my head.
Walnut and Gummy Cherry with a Raindrop on top.
8.5 diameter, 5 inches high without the finial.
Still have a couple coats of lacquer to go.414604

I like the form, kind of like a compressed amphora shape . So this is the second form of yours I’ve noticed with either a glass or acrylic finial. So which is it and did you make them?

Hey Tim...nice to see you. And thank you.
Yup...made the finials. It's polycarbonate. It's what they call bullet proof glass. Got a sheet that was supposed to be a security window. It's a little over an inch thick and turns nicely as long as your tools are sharp. Sanded and polished with micromesh and water. You can get pretty detailed but I haven't done that in a while.
