Glaze over waxed shellac?

Hi all,

I ran out of Sealcoat and am really far from a retailer to get more. I tried various methods of getting the wax out of regular shellac, but no go.

So, I’m going to lightly glaze this piece with gel stain. If I use waxed shellac, will this cause adhesion issues?

As long as your glaze is oil based all will be fine.
