I have not posted, or even visited, on this forum for quite some time because I have been extremely busy. September, if the little greeting is correct. Anyhow, this is a new bust that I have been working on. It is 15" high X 8" wide X 6" deep and carved from basswood. Some of you may enjoy viewing it. It'll make it's first live public appearance in March at Grapevine, Tx.

Wolf........1st.....it's so wonderful to have you posting again. Secondly, I think that may be the best work I've seen of yours! Absolutely stunning!'

Wonderful work, Wolf. Is this meant to be any particular person from the Bible, I wonder? I can imagine him to be lots of different people. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Wow, Wolf! What an entrance! You kinda just burst in the door like Kramer used to on "Seinfeld"! Great work, and I hope to see more of you and your work around here (busy has kept me out of the shop for WAY too long, myself).

It is my interpretation of Jesus. However, I always tell people when they are viewing my work that what they see is what it is. This is why I simply included the quote from Proverbs instead of titling it with a name. Unless I am depicting an actual person, I like to let the viewer form their own opinion.

I also posted this piece on Woodcentral and got a really unexpected response. One person thought this figure looked just like Charles Manson. I gotta tell you, he has a point and it came as quite a shocker to me. Oh well.......
