Bar Stools Foot Ring.

I have been asked to build a bar & bar stools. My client wants metal foot rings on the bar stools. Does anyone know if these can be purchased.
As a backup I am considering laminating some wood rings.

We have 3 wooden bar stools with metal rings. A few years ago I tried to find new ones as the gold finish was totally worn off. I did a lot of searching through the internet and also supplier catalogs, and never did find anything. I ended up painting with a good clearcoat, which seems to be lasting OK, but I really like your laminated wood idea. Sort of like the drum on a good quality banjo sliced up into rings.
