I've got a walnut board 8/4 thick, pretty wide, so a nice piece. Problem is, it has beetle larva in it. I've hit it with timbor a few times and removed a lot of the area where most damage was done, but I can't see how I would be sure to find them all. Will finishing the board once I've built something with it kill whatever beetles are left inside (do the damn things breathe air)? Would hate to think this thing is firewood...
If anyone has some experience with this sort of thing it would be appreciated, apparently I've been lucky up till now.
