Well folks I am at it again. Tried building a bandsaw box out of cedar. I know soft woods are not recomended but had to try one. Finished with watco natural and shellac. What do you think.http://www.sawmillcreek.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=27380&stc=1&d=1134331526

Very cool box, Dave. Does it still smell like cedar, or is the inside sealed? What size blade do you use for something like that?

Thanks for rour reply. The box has no smell as it is completely sealed with shellac. I am using a 1/4" blade. the smallest I can use on my 18" Rikon. If you can use a smaller blade on your saw tight curves would be easier.

Dave, That box looks great! I see no problem with soft woods. What's wrong with that? It sure makes the sanding easier. I've made some using cherry, walnut, and mahogany and I love making them. You're off to a great start. Alan
