Our 35 th was in April. Decided to make a memory box for wife. It is white oak from my mill that was going to be firewood. She wanted to reopen the fire place that and some sweetgum was all I had anywhere close to burnable. Minwax clear. The states were minwas true blue and scarlet. It ended up being 36 x18.
Bunch of imperfections, as she has told me they give it character. It does represent our 35 years, not perfect, make do with what you have and in the end it all works out. Yes she loved it
