View Full Version : Bandsaw blade tension gauge

I noticed something new to me today,Monarch bandsaw tension gauge. I found it on Woodworkers supply site. I have no idea if this works well or not but thought I would post to see if anyone has tried one. it is about half or less the price I paid for my gauge,could be a viable option for a budget gauge if it performs well. FWIW.

I have not tried one personally - but it looks very interesting. I did find a nice review from woodworkersjournal. There was also some discussion in a previous SMC post from a few years ago. I have added the links below.

Thanks,David. After reading Vans thoughts and then the manufacturers ,I personally think this tool would be a step up from nothing for sure.
