Hi,

I’ve recently bought a Makita 4329 jigsaw. Low powered but well reviewed.

I made a simple jigsaw table by mounting it upside down, and this is my experience when cutting either a 17mm pine piece or 17mm oak piece:

1. The included Makita blade severely bends.
2. The Bosch reverse-pitch Clean for Wood blade remains square, however it basically doesn’t really cut because it makes the piece jump all the time.

I read good things about the Bosch blades so I wonder if I should try the “normal pitch” blades which cut on the upstroke, or something else entirely?

I’d appreciate your recommendations. Thank you.

For straight cutting the Bosch T234x blades work very well. With my Bosch jigsaw they give cuts that are close to table saw cut quality.

Completely wrong choice of blade. Use normal pitch. Bosch is excellent brand.
