I received an email this afternoon about Harbor Freight's (actually, it's HF's owners' charitable foundation) "Tools for Schools" program. I imagine many of you received the same email. They are giving $1 million in awards to high schools and high school teachers to support programs in the skilled trades, including carpentry.
Here's a link to information about the program: https://hftforschoolsprize.org/
They will be awarding three $100,000 prizes and fifteen $50,000 prizes, split between the schools and the instructors.
If you are teaching in a high school program, or know someone who is, it seems like it might be worth looking into.
