First dovetails & thank you all

I've been coming here over the last few months to find answers to questions I have. It's been a wonderful resource and I've learned a ton from all of you. So thanks!

After building a bench, I set out to cut my first dovetails. I started from leftover floorboards:

I learned a ton in the process & will certainly improve, but I was pretty pleased as these were the first ones I tried.

Pretty good fit for a first tme.

It took me a long time to get good dovetails, but it was worth all the trying.

Welcome Whitney, but pretty bold to be showing off on your first post:) That dovetail doesn't need a thing but to get used.

Thanks, David. I guess we're all our own harshest critic. I split one side a bit (super glue helped mend that), and generally didn't get a good fit right off the saw, so I have a bunch of ideas to try to improve for the next one.
