After seeing the great woodworking web sites that you all have done, I got inspired and decided to see if it was with in my ability to create one as well. Definitely not as easy as I first thought it would be. Although it's still work in progress, the site is now up and running. I have a ton of ideas and information that I eventually want to add, but it's a bit time consuming. I hope it doesn't cut too deep into my workshop time!
One note; the site just went up so it may take a day or so for the DSN to propagate through the network and for the link to work.

Sorry all. I just had the same error. It was working this morning, but I think the DSN that I registered is being moved from my original registrar to my web host. It may take another 24hrs to work.

OK, it's running again. I think it was just a bad timing thing when the DSN was being changed. Hopefully, I won't run into any other issues. Ron

The Forbidden Zone!

Did your web host give you a bunch of numbers? If so, they'd likely get us where we want to go.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm just glad the darn thing is working OK now. This was my 1st attempt at building a web site. It was truly a learning lesson on how to get a site up and running. Not to mention the numerous hours I put into building and then rebuilding it after I got a little better at what I was doing. I must have re-built the site 3 times before I finely just said that it was good enough. I think I was getting tired. I'm not a web expert yet, but at least I was able to carve a small path through the forest. Ron

Good job Ron, and welcome to yet another slippery slope. You'll always find stuff to tweak and play with, moreso when you get comfortable with whatever software you're using to create your web content.

Nice site, and nice stuff you're showing in it.

Very nice website, Ron. As has already been said, it's very easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye also. One of these days I'll tackle a web site maybe.

The pictures of the lake remind me of when I was growing up in upstate NY. My upstate was Troy/Albany with summer trips to Lake George where my aunt and uncle had a motel and boat rental on the lake. Man those were good times. Thanks for the memories. :)
