The LOML requested a small table for her office to display some of her million sea shells. Gave me a chance to use up some cherry. And I always look for an excuse to pull out a few spokeshaves...a tool I love to use.

Well done Phil! Those miters look good - how did you cut them? Is that a bead on the apron? Nice touch.

Great looking display table. I made two display tables for my children about 2 years ago.

Thanks for nice comments.
Von, that’s a nice looking table that I’m sure your daughters appreciate very much. I could make about 10 of those and my wife’s sea shell collection still wouldn’t fit - Ha!
Mark, I cut the miters using a miter box leaving them a hair long and then trim to final fit on a miter shooting board. And yes, thought I’d pull out my crude homemade scratch stock tool and give the aprons a go. Fortunately this cherry had grain that was pretty cooperative (I’ve been known to make a mess of things with a scratch stock!...like completely needing to cut it off!).
