Tis the season, once again....was even a sunny 70+ degrees outside....went to a couple yard sales, the Boss found a few items....then at a Rummage Sale...;)
407827
Spent $2.25 for these two....normal sheet of paper envelope under them, for scale...
407828
Seems to be an older Stanley, square shank, fluted wood handle..price tag says 25 cents
407829
But, it is that $2 Ball Peen Hammer that has my interest...solid brass head has a bunch of lettering stamped in it
407830
Seems there was a local Rail Road area here....before CSX, before ConRail, before Penn Central, and before New York Central...the C.C.C. & St. L. RR Co.
They had a large Roundhouse here in town, with all the shops needed to service the Steam locomotives they ran...maybe this hammer "ran away"?
Has a hole in the ball part...
407831
Not too bad of a start, for the Yard Sale Season?
