OK, guys. I came across this site with VERY extensive and detailed info on doing segmented turnings. Of course, it would be since you need to be nearly obsessive-compulsive to want to torture youself through one of these. Seriously, this can be nit-picky joinery but the results can be worth it.

Hey Gary, Kevin does some great stuff for sure. I bought his program (for my palm) for calculating lengths and it works great. I also have used the other two computer programs and seem to do better with a pencil and paper. Programs are now just taking up space on my hard drive but a lot of people use them.
