Leather settings

What settings are you guys using on leather with good results? I have a 30w fiber laser!!! I am getting decent results but I know it can come out cleaner

I do a lot of leather, but only tried it on the fiber once, as I don’t have an exhaust and there was too much smoke.

On the CO2 it depends on the leather I’m engraving, natural tan, can run pretty fast I use upto 400mm/S, whereas some coloured leather I’m down to 200mm/s. I engrave around twenty different types of leather and almost everyone needs its own setting and those settings were found by experimenting.

I never use the laser to cut the leather, as the burn marks take too much cleaning.
