I may have started the thread, but I'm the student... Just order a Grizzly G0555 with riser and would like to get some blades heading my way. I assume I'll need more than one style for different types of cuts. Preferences? Brands?

TIA,
~ Fred

For that saw I would get a 3/8 4tpi and 1/2 " 4 tpi Timberwolf and a 1/2" 10 tpi min set joint blade... That is about it...if you are doing scroll work you can get a 1/4" blade...about 7 tpi

I just got my G0555 a month or so ago and called Suffolk Machinery at 800-234-7297. I told them I would be resawing both logs and veneer, some scroll type sawing and ripping. What they recommended was a 1/4" 8 tpi, 3/8" 6 tpi and 1/2" 3 tpi. For logs they recommended a 3/4" 2 tpi. The blades you need with the riser are 105". I just wanted to try it so I bought a 1/2" woodslicer from Highland Hardware. For resawing especially veneer and like 1" oak, etc. it is a sweet balde but twice the money of Timberwolf blades. I haven't found a need for any other blades thus far. Hope this helps.
