I have one 1000/6000 waterstone and would like to know how you flatten a waterstone if you don't have a waterstone flattening device (whatever that might be).

Hi dennis,
There are a number of ways. You can use sandpaper on plate glass. You can use abrasive grit on plate glass. You can buy a second waterstone and use that. Just to name a few.

I was given the granite cut-out from the sink area of a counter-top. I simply rub the waterstone (dry) on the granite and it gets as flat as I am able to measure.
