General 18” Bandsaw #90-270 Owners. HELP, Need Info Please

I recently purchased a General Bandsaw 90-270. It was missing the upper guide. I plan to install Carter guides. I am still missing part #131 “The Blade Guide Adjustment Bracket”. I am sure I cannot buy one at this point. What I need is a sketch with dimensions so I can make one. Can someone please draw up a sketch of theirs with dimensions?

I'd still call General in Canada to see if they have the part in stock. They might be able to provide a diagram if not. I was able to buy a brand new 34-01 drill press about 5 years after they stopped making it, and was able to get parts like the table raising mechanism.

General does not exist any longer.

Try King Canada who now sell many of the General International machines and carry spare parts for them.

Hi,
I still need help please. i have contacted Canada And they don’t own the rights to General International. It is still handled by the people in the states. I have sent them emails and tried calling their phone number listed (which is a Canadian number) with no luck.
i really need an owner of this saw to give me please a sketch of part #131. Even a distance from the slots above where the two mounting bolts are to the center of the blade guide rod. I can draw something from that and get a part water jetted out.
if not, I will have to scale off the pictures in the manual and reverse engineer it.
any help would be most appreciated.

Rather than shooting in the dark here, if I were you I’d do a google search for something like “General 90-270 bandsaw forum” and contact people who say they have the saw. Surely at the Canadian woodworking forum there are at least a few active members who have the saw and could help out.
