So far I only know of:

Japan Tool - http://www.japan-tool.com
Japan Woodworker - https://www.japanwoodworker.com/
Suzuki-ya - https://suzukitool.com
Tools from Japan - https://www.toolsfromjapan.com/store (though I am not exactly sure how long this store will continue to last as it seems to be closing?)
Iida Tool - http://www.japantool-iida.com
Hida Tool - http://www.hidatool.com

Wondering if anyone else has any sources not listed here. Thanks!

Is Japan Woodworker worthy of mention here?

I'd say so, but only with a note that they aren't the store of legend anymore. Woodcraft bought the name and operates them as a subsidiary now.

I have seen Andrew Ren's skill with a kanna on a Japanese tool group on Facebook. Seems like a business run by him would have a curated selection for sure, and being in Canada sweetens the deal for me! Thanks for mentioning this Brian.

+1 for Andrew Ren. Great guy to deal with, has and can get some excellent tools both high end and quality more budget friendly stuff.

Jindaiko, as per their website, refers you to Stanley Covington for their 'western' supplier. I've got mortise chisels from Stanley. No complaints, would buy from him again. I also purchased a left handed kiridashi from him that i've enjoyed using.

Or you can use Zenmarket, a proxy buying service. They charge 300 yen per transaction.

Oh, and Saburo Ishikawa. My dad's old colleague. He can get me anything I want :D

I ask Stan Covington for stuff.

Btw, is that your photo on your avatar, Jessica?
If it is, you're gorgeous.

Just sayin'

I know :D

Has anyone else used Jindaiko chisels? If you haven't I highly recommend them. They're outstanding.

Anyone know of a U.S. source for the "Kuri Kuri" small brace? (I checked all the sites listed)

Highland Woodworking quit carrying it.

Call Suzuki, good chance she can get it for you if anyone can.

I think she's Dutch.

Dutch people are famously honest.
