Rockler deal alert

FOr those in need of a router (not me), Rockler is offering a Hitachi mid-size router AND palm sander for $100.

BTW--my 48" Aluminum Johnson level arrived from Amazon today--NICE!

Don't remeber the exact details, but a "deal alert" on it was posted only a couple of days ago.

I got that on line add from Rockler today. It is the Hitachi 2 1/4 HP fixed base model M 12SC plus free Hitachi 1/4 sheet orbital sander with no model number.

I cannot emagine the the router could be of much quality at that price not to mention the sander. Anyone know anything about the router?

The only reason that I looked at it was that I was considering an additional router to use with an Akeda dovetail jig for the second bit instead of using my Dewalt 621 and just saving it for plunge use. I already have a Milwaukee 1 3/4 HP fixed base for one. It seems like that I saw somewhere that it was better to use a plunge router for the dovetails but I cannot see why. Any input?
