I will be going to a business that sells general finishes
I heard they are good
Which clear waterborne one should I get?
Do I need a sealer for it?
Just would like to have gallon on hand for my earlex sprayer
Have some cabinets and table tops to spray

Thanks

No one right answer there, Phil. For low abuse applications GF's High Performance sprays really well, though you may need to thin it depending upon what N/N set you have available, and looks great. For kitchen cabinets, however, it's not a good choice. Enduro Clear Poly or EnduroVar would be much better. Enduro Clear Poly sprays as easily as High Performance and is water clear, while EnduroVar is a little harder to spray and has a slight amber tint that deepens with age. Clear Poly is harder; EnduroVar slightly better chemical durability. For a dining table that's going to get daily abuse, I'd go with Enduro Conversion Varnish (but you need to be mindful of PPE and ventilation to use it safely).

The one I use the most is Enduro Clear Poly. It's self sealing though I often start with a light coat of Sealcoat shellac first to avoid grain raising.

Sorry for the less than straight forward answer.

John
