Has anyone here used butcher block countertop material for a router table top?
I have a Maple 1-1/2" top (25x48") from Michigan Maple Block Company (Wood Welded) still in the box.
I'm thinking of applying a hardwax oil finish (Osmo Polyx) to all six faces and then wax the top as needed for slickness.
Or maybe just Poly the whole thing?
My shop is air conditioned & heated so humidity is fairly constant year round.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Joe
