Ok, I am sure some of you have solved this problem. When flattening white boards with a router sled, the dust is horrible.
I would like to make a dust shroud on the the carriage instead of doing it through the router base - which works moderately by itself.
Any good designs out there? (Glen Bradley, I'm talkin to YOU)

Make it out of clear Lexan so you can still see what you are cutting...and consider suspending a brush like thing below the sled similar to a dust boot on a CNC machine.

For the brush like thing you can use brush flashing which you can get from garage door suppliers and I’m sure on line.

Not too recent issue of Wood featured such a sled. Jim Heavy used conveyor belt brushes to control dust, but the are expensive. Instead, use brush type door sweeps.
