Hi all, I’m a novice (been at it about 3 months) woodworker. I like making cutting boards and I’ve pretty much bored my family to death with pictures so I thought I’d post them here. Any feedback is welcome!

I really like the colors in that first one, Geraldo. What kind of wood is that ?

Great cutting boards. I am curious the finish you used...?

Those look great. The family won't be bored receiving them as gifts I'll wager. You asked for feedback so, I would soften the edge of the hole for comfort. The carved logo will capture juices of other spoil and can be a cleaning issue. Cutting boards should be wiped off, not necessarily scrubbed :). A smooth form without crevices makes for easy care.

I sanded them with 120, 220, & 320 grit sand paper. I sprayed the board with water after my first go with the 120 and sanded it again. I used Howard butcher block oil and conditioner to finish.

Just Put the logo or recipients name/wording on it and instruct them to use the other side and display the branded side. Keeps the display side pretty that way anyway.
